Just as I mentioned on my livestream yesterday, I was hearing that Disney Springs and Universal Citywalk would begin reopening this month. I keep hearing Citywalk is slated to partially reopen May 11th and it is now confirmed that Disney Springs will partially reopen May 20th.
The shopping district will reopen with limited capacity for dining and parking as well as reduced operating hours. I encourage you to check disneysprings.com as the date nears for more information on hours and what stores and restaurants will be open. Guests will be required to wear a face covering when dining or shopping.
Today I was out and about and I started to really miss Paint The Night, so I went on Youtube and watched the parade all over again. When I got back home and checked the WDW Magic Forums, I saw that the old Paint The Night thread popped back up, meaning someone posted in it and they posted this screenshot.

After seeing this I instantly got excited and decided to do more research. I did not find anything else besides that and then I got a little sad potentially knowing that maybe that is always on the Disney site. No other mention of Paint The Night appears in any section of the site, but here’s hoping the return of dining packages on the website could signal a very near return for the parade.
What do you think of Paint The Night? Do you want it to come back? Do you care? What is your favorite float on the parade?
We finally have an idea of what is going into the former ESPN Zone space at Downtown Disney. According to reliable insiders on the WDW Magic forums, Disney is making the ESPN Zone space into a Disney Performing Arts Studio.
In order to construct Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Toontown, Disney had to demolish the Entertainment building. Now it seems they will be relocating some of its services such as the rehearsal hall and other facilities for the Disney Performing Arts groups into this building.
What do you think of this development? Would you rather it be a retail space or restaurant everyone would be able to use? Let me know in the comments below and follow this page for more theme park updates!
Earlier today Disney confirmed that Spiderman as seen in the concept art will be swinging above the rooftops of Avengers Campus when the land opens later this summer. This will be the stuntronic that Disney has been teasing us with ever since last year and again in the Imagineering Story. Disney has provided a video of this stuntronic testing in a, “top secret location”.
I am super excited this is confirmed by Disney and hopefully it will not be cut like the entertainment in Galaxy’s Edge. What do you think of this news? Are you more excited for Avengers Campus? Are you more excited for the Spiderman ride or stunt show? Let me know in the comments below and follow this blog for more updates on Avengers Campus.
Universal Studios Hollywood’s Lunar New Year starts January 23rd and goes through February 9th. It will be located in the main plaza where all of the events at the park are held and for the most part seems like a repeat of the offerings from last year.

Character Meet and Greets featuring characters from Kung Fu Panda, Minions, and Transformers
Mr. Ping’s Noodle Shop with savory Asian dishes
Wishing Trees where you can make a wish and hope it comes true
Feng The Place Artist’s Stand where you can draw your favorite characters from the Kung Fu Panda movies
Special Food Offerings
Cultural Entertainment
Will you be going to this year’s Lunar New Year festival? What of the above offerings are you looking forward to the most? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below and follow this blog for constant theme park updates!
At long last Asian Streets Eats has opened in front of the former Rainforest Cafe restaurant in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort. This location looks like a glorified food truck and that tells me that this is temporary until they figure out what they want to do with the Rainforest Cafe building.
The menu for this establishment will of course be Asian dishes such as Scallion Pancake Wraps and Pot stickers.

Will you be trying out this new restaurant? What do you think of the food choices? Let me know down below!
The Disneyland After Dark events for 2020 were announced last week and they have some great themes.
The first is 80’s Night which will have plenty of throwbacks including “Flashback to Videopolis”, which will be located in the Fantasyland Theater and will include a VJ playing 80’s hits along to music videos. It will include a fireworks show called “Awesome After Dark-Fireworks To The Max” which will be high energy and have accompanying music. You will be able to meet some throwback Disney characters, have lots of photo ops, and of course special food and merchandise. The event runs January 29th, 2020.
The next theme will be Sweetheart’s Nite which will include love song themed dance parties across the park and a glitzy royal ball. You will be able to meet Disney character couples and have romantic photo ops and special food and merchandise. The event runs February 12th and 13th, 2020.
The third event will be at California Adventure and be themed to Pixar. Pixar Nite will run on March 5th, 2020 and include interactive dance parties themed to Pixar characters and stories, photo ops, meet and greets with characters from your favorite Pixar movies, and special food and merchandise.
The last event will be themed to the Villains and run on my birthday April 30th, 2020. Villains Nite will be at California Adventure (Home to Oogie Boogie Bash) and will have a Villains Cabaret with outlaws singing and dancing throughout the park, a DJ dance party and various sing-along’s throughout the park, photo ops with the villains themselves, as well as special food and merchandise.
Sea World has filed paper work with the city of San Diego indicating they want to have a drone show over Mission Bay. Sea World would be partnering with Intel, the same company who did drone shows in Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios Hollywood, to operate their show.
Intel does amazing work on their drone shows and you know that if you have seen one of the shows listed above. According to the permits, the show would be around 5 minutes long and is expected to debut next year.
Sea World is very environmentally friendly and will monitor how their wildlife and birds are affected by the shows during the test runs. I am very excited for more drone shows in theme parks as after I saw the Dark Arts show at Universal my jaw dropped. Are you guys as excited as I am for this show? Do you prefer drone or fireworks shows? Let me know in the comments below and give this blog a follow if you want constant theme park updates.
Cedar Fair parks and particular Knott’s Berry Farm are having a record year attendance wise. Due to good weather days and loads of entertainment such as Knott’s Summer Nights and Ghost Town Alive and the debut of Calico River Rapids people have been flocking to Knott’s while Disney debuted Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and saw a 3% decline in attendance.

The record attendance is expected to continue as today Knott’s announced a new attraction, Knott’s Bear-y Tales, that will be coming in 2020. That new attraction plus Summer Nights, Ghost Town Alive, and all of the planned entertainment for the 100th Anniversary, Knott’s will be smashing attendance records for years to come it seems.
What do you think of the record attendance? Did you visit Knott’s this year? Are you planning to visit for the 100th Anniversary entertainment and attractions? Let me know in the comments below!
