A man was arrested late Sunday night after trying to break in to the Disneyland Resort. Police got a call at around 11pm of a man walking around near the Avengers Campus construction site near Guardians of the Galaxy in Disney California Adventure.
The man was an 18 year old transient resident of Anaheim named Jeremiah Smith who was seen attempting to jump over the fence backstage in California Adventure. The motive for breaking in to the resort was so that he could try and steal equipment from the construction site, according to ABC 7. Smith was then cited for trespassing and was arrested and eventually released.
Hello everyone, welcome back to another Theme Park Wizard update! Today I will be going over some photos from @bioreconstruct on Twitter of the Disneyland Resort that he shot last week. Definitely go visit his Twitter account for awesome aerials of places and theme parks mostly in Orlando, but occasionally out here as well, so let’s get started!
Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
As you can see in this fantastic shot, land clearing and site prep is well underway for the attraction just north of Toontown. The size of the show building is actually larger than Toontown itself. By the time Spring comes we should be seeing this building going vertical, the attraction is slated to open in 2022.
Avengers Campus
Starting from the top of the land and moving down you can see one of the two plazas near the Parade Route and the Spiderman attraction under construction. Moving down you can see the narrow walkway in between Spiderman and the WEB Suppliers gift shop leading to the more central part of the campus. This is the main dirt area that will house the Avengers Logo, the Doctor Strange show, and Pym Foods. This will also lead to the Avengers E ticket when it opens in a few years.
Tomorrowland
Lastly, we have a fresh look at Tomorrowland. As you can see most of the rocks are removed and the only thing that remains under construction walls is the E.E.R building that controls the audio effects for the Astro Orbitor. More work is rumored to be coming to this area and the rest of Tomorrowland this Spring, so it will be very interesting to see what happens.
Well that is all for today’s Disneyland Resort update! Comment below what you think of the ongoing projects at the resort and what are you most excited for?
So part of my goal on this blog is to document updates from theme parks that may not be all that big or well known except to local populations of coaster enthusiasts in an effort to be unique and give these smaller parks some more exposure. So today I am going to give you all a construction update from the Primordial coaster coming to Lagoon in Utah in 2020.
Lagoon is a theme park in Farmington, Utah which is about 18 miles to the north of Salt Lake City. It is relatively little known but the coaster pictured above (Cannibal) made the park famous. Cannibal is the steepest coaster in the country and an elevator transports the coaster cars to the beginning of the track.
Check out Lagoon’s website for all of the fun coasters and attractions at the park. Lagoon is keeping their latest coaster project pretty under wraps even though it is under construction, but someone on Youtube made a video of what they think the coaster can look like based on permits filed with the city.
As you can see in the video this coaster is expected to incorporate interactive shooter dark ride elements combined with coaster segments much like Escape From Gringotts at Universal Studios Florida. Below are a couple of construction photos of the progress.

Track pieces are now being installed (Photo courtesy of Screamscape)
I think this is going to be a very cool and interesting coaster and might even get me to go visit this park next year when it opens. What do you guys think of this coaster? Have you ever heard of or been to Lagoon before? Comment your thoughts down below!
Hello all and welcome back for a quick Universal Studios Hollywood construction update. Today I will show you updates on the Secret Life of Pets, Super Nintendo World, and the Holidayz in Hell maze.
Secret Life Of Pets
First, let’s take a look at the Secret Life of Pets (SLOP) attraction being built next to the minions. Nothing really new has changed here since my last update as the building is still behind green scaffolding.
Secret Life Of Pets You can see some detail and arched windows through the scrimGrand Entrance
Super Nintendo World
Next up, I will show you some pictures of the under construction Super Nintendo World in the Lower Lot. You can see the Mario Kart foundations and track are really starting to come into focus and the layout should be completed in a couple of months. Some steel is going up near where the rumored Donkey Kong coaster is supposed to go (Side nearest to Jurassic World) so it will be very interesting to see how that area turns out.

Holidaze in Hell Maze
I was with family and in a bit of a rush during this update so the only maze I was able to capture progress of was Holidaze in Hell. The only major progress I could see was they updated the facade to a really cool looking postcard like night time sky.

Welcome to a brand new segment here on this blog and that’s right it features construction updates. Expect updates from mostly Disney and Universal as I have passes to those parks so I am able to go way more often than any other SoCal theme park. Today we are going to take a look at my Universal Studios Hollywood trip from last Friday where I went into the park to check out Halloween Horror Nights (HHN), Secret Life of Pets (SLOP), Super Nintendo, and Jurassic World construction, so let’s get right to it!
Halloween Horror Nights
There are two visible HHN sites under construction at this time. There is one on the upper lot by SLOP and there is another one hidden behind Mummy that you can see as you go down the Starway escalators.

Closer View of Killer Clowns Maze
I have not seen any rumors online about what the Upper Lot maze will be, but it is highly rumored that the maze near Mummy will be Killer Clowns From Outer Space. This seems to be correct because the front of the maze looks like a Circus tent.
Secret Life Of Pets
This ride has seen tons of progress over the past few months with the entire show building just about enclosed and work is rapidly progressing on the front facades of the attraction.
Scaffolding is down on most of the buildingPeeking through the scrim, you can see work on the facades taking shapeMore facade work on what will be the grand entrance of the attraction
I think this will be a wonderful addition to the park as it is rumored to have little to no screens. It is rumored to be an omnimover or track based dark ride. It is hard to see through the scrim on camera, but in person you can see they are working on each show scene on the second level of the attraction.
Jurassic World
This area has really shaped up to be so beautiful and so much of an improvement from what was there previously. The remodeled Jurassic Cafe and Jurassic Outfitters fits a very modern vibe and the new Isla Nu-Bar is a great beverage option. Universal should be announcing an opening date any day now for this revamped attraction.

I also love the new grey and blue color tones painted around the area to match the aesthetic of the movies. If you would like to see a full walk around of the area plus Jurassic World testing and a close up of the boats, then click this link.
Super Nintendo World
Lastly, we come to Super Nintendo construction which is rapidly progressing, but the area and show building are so large it is hard to see the progress because there is just so much to be done.
