Peoplemover at Magic Kingdom To Get an Extensive Refurb

VIDEO: Take a 360° Ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority ...

Earlier this year the Tomorrowland Peoplemover was having several issues that led to multiple unexpected down times. That had caused Disney to close the attraction up until the eventual theme park closure which closed due to covid-19.

Well the theme parks have reopened, but the peoplemover is still closed and many guests have been wondering why the attraction has not been open recently. Well according to insiders, Blog Mickey, and Cast Members at the entrance of the attraction, Disney has decided to a full refurb of the attraction starting soon and lasting for nearly two months.

During this refurb Disney will replace every single LIM (Linear Induction Motor) along the track and these motors are custom made leading the ride to be down for a pretty extensive time period. At one point it was also rumored that the scenes inside the attraction were going to be updated for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, but due to budget cuts those additions have been cancelled, so this will be a purely maintenance based refurb.

Downtown Disney Rule Updates and Restaurant Openings!

Disney today updated their face mask policy for Downtown Disney and the rest of the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland now matches Disney World with the mask restrictions that include the banning of neck gaiters and bandannas. Guests must also be stationary while eating and drinking. This avoids people walking around without their mask on and will be enforced when the parks reopen as well.

On some other news, two restaurants reopened in the shopping district with takeout and limited patio dining available. Those restaurants are Ballast Point and Tortilla Jo’s. Disney has plenty of seating set up in the AMC courtyard for guests on the West side of Downtown Disney to enjoy their food. Guests on the East side will struggle a bit with limited seating and to solve I suggest Disney set up tables in the Esplanade so guests can enjoy their meals while looking inside their favorite theme parks!

What do you guys think of the updated mask policy? What do you think of the outdoor seating situation at the district?

Hong Kong Disneyland To Temporarily Close Again After Jump In COVID 19 Cases

BREAKING: Hong Kong Disneyland to Reclose After Increase in COVID ...

Starting on July 15th Hong Kong Disneyland will close after Hong Kong is experiencing a spike in Covid 19 cases. After three straight weeks of not recording a single case, the city now has over one hundred new cases. In response, the government has tightened restrictions of gatherings limiting them to 10 people instead of the previous 50 people.

These restrictions will be in place for seven days and then will be re-evaluated, so it is possible the park will be able to open up in the next week or two. Hong Kong and China in general has excellent contact tracing and they have been able to nip any local outbreaks quickly and I expect the same for Hong Kong.

During this time, the resort hotels will still be operating on a modified schedule and adjusting their needs based on demand.

Walt Disney World Ticket Sales and Hotel Bookings Resume Tomorrow for 2020!

After an underwhelming response for existing ticket holders on the Parks Pass Reservation System, Disney has just announced that they will be resuming new ticket sales and hotel bookings starting July 9th.

There is high demand from Annual Passholders, suggesting that for potentially years to come Walt Disney World and Disneyland will have to focus on the local market as much as possible. Disneyland should have no problem with that, but Disney World may see a bit of an issue.

I also think they should only sell park hopper tickets at least in Disneyland or allow park hopping for annual passholders. What do you guys think? Let me know in the comments below!

BREAKING: Disneyland’s Reopening Delayed

Well well well, due to Gov. Newsom not giving any theme park reopening guidelines until after July 4th, Disney has released a statement saying that it is impossible for them to reopen July 17th. Downtown Disney and the hotels will reopen on schedule as they have already been approved.

I must say I am disappointed, but I can’t say I didn’t see this coming. There was tremendous pressure from the unions to delay the opening and Newsom listened to them. I just really hope everyone wears a face covering whether they like it or not and that everyone can come to an agreement to open up the parks sometime next month. This hereby “delays” Universal, Six Flags, and the other California theme park reopenings as all of the ones mentioned were preparing to reopen next week.

I will have a lot more to say in tomorrow’s livestream on my youtube channel so check it out and subscribe for all of my thoughts on that, but what do you think of this news? Let me know down below!

Downtown Disney Reveals Opening Procedures!

Downtown Disney Hours Adjusted Starting Monday Due to Coronavirus ...

Disney has gotten approval to reopen Downtown Disney on July 9th. The Grand Californian and Paradise Pier Hotels have gotten approval to reopen July 23rd.

Disney has stated that all guests visiting Downtown Disney starting July 9th will have to only enter and exit through the Simba Lot and undergo temperature checks.

Not all stores and restaurants will be open July 9th, but Ballast Point and World of Disney have confirmed reopening dates of July 9th with more announcements I am sure that will come soon.

Tokyo Disneyland To Reopen July 1st!

Tokyo Disneyland: How to Get There and Make the Most of it - Japan ...

The last International Disney park has a reopening date and it is July 1st which is only a week and half from now. The Ikspiari shopping area surrounding the resort has already reopened to guests with the enhanced safety measures.

The new expansions at Tokyo Disneyland will not open with the park and will be announced at a later date. The expansion at Tokyo DisneySea has been delayed by one year. As with the other Disney parks, guests wishing to attend must book a reservation at first. Annual passholders will be able to book a lottery for admission and Disney will release more information on that at a later date.

Disneyland Paris To Reopen July 15th!

Marvel, Star Wars and Frozen, Disneyland Paris' new lands are ...

Disney announced today that Disneyland Paris will have a phased reopening starting July 15th. On that day, both of the Disney parks will be open as well as Disney Village and the Newport Beach Bay Club Hotel.

On July 20th, Disney’s Cheyenne Hotel will reopen to guests, followed by Hotel Santa Fe on August 3rd and the Disneyland Hotel on September 7th. Reopening dates for Sequoia Lodge Hotel, Davy Crockett Ranch, and Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will be announced at a later date.

Disneyland Paris will implement all the safety measures that the other Disney resorts have and will also be requiring guests to wear masks inside the resort as well as make a reservation to enter each theme park. Just like at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim no park hopping will be allowed at this time.

RUMOR: Disney World and Disneyland To Not Use Virtual Queues Initially

According to several sources and cast members Disney will not be using virtual queues for attractions at Disney World and most likely Disneyland upon reopening. This includes the mega popular Rise of the Resistance attraction where at both parks spots for the attraction in the virtual queue would fill up in mere seconds.

Disney has stated that they will also be temporarily eliminating Fastpass+, Fastpass (Disneyland), and Single Rider queues upon the reopening of the theme parks. Disney will use the Fastpass + and Fastpass queues as extended space for the Standby queue to practice social distancing.

What do you think of this decision? How long will it be before you visit the theme parks? Disney World will open in phases between July 11th and July 15th and Disneyland is proposed to reopen July 17th in time for its 65th anniversary.

Disneyland Proposes to Reopen July 17th!

Disneyland Park | Disneyland Resort

Disney has finally announced some reopening dates for the Disneyland Resort. According to the announcement Downtown Disney will reopen July 9th. Disney’s Grand Californian and Paradise Pier Hotels will reopen July 23rd. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure are proposing to reopen July 17th.

There will be a temporary pause on new annual pass and ticket sales as existing ticket and passholders will be given priority just like as Walt Disney World. There will also be a reservation system that Disney says they will explain at a later date. Face coverings will be required, although I am not sure if there will be cool down areas like at Walt Disney World.

I made a video speculating this date about a week ago based on rumors from cast members. I hope this gets approved because I really miss my theme parks! Will you be going?
